Cabinet | 10.5x7.5x7cm | 585g
Enormous, purplish to brown colored, multiply twinned spinel with intergrown dark blue sapphire xls. These “superlarge” spinel twins, quite rare and among the largest in the world, are not known as matrix specimens. Apparently they originate from a layer that had long been eroded. Further uniqueness is added by the fact that the sapphire is actually intergrown with the spinel.
