Tightly intergrown, penetration twinned fluorite, resulting in a rounded appearance. Quite transparent with noticeable color change from sky blue in overcast daylight to light purple in incandescent light. Associated by yellow, scalenohedral calcite and secondary antimony minerals! Note the four-color fluorescence, particularly the unusual greenish-blue fluorescence of the fluorite! Found 2008. Cabinet | 11x10x5.5cm | 570g
One of the best fluorite specimens from this locality: sharp cubes to 1.5cm modified by dodecahedron, light purple with multiple deep purple phantoms. Although being one of the most common mineral, fluorite specimens with smooth faces are rarely found at this locality. The back side of the specimen has pockets of secondary antimony minerals. Unilateral overgrowth of calcite, quartz and other minerals. Found 2008. This specimen is featured in the Mineralogical Record Magazine in the January/February issue 2010!

Cabinet | 11x9x5cm | 330g | |||
Not only that this is about the first time that Chinese uranium minerals from a documented findplace appear in public...this also represents a single find (on a single specimen) from a mining area where uranium minerals are completely unknown! The mineral is not analyzed, appearance and fluorescence indicate autunite. Found in late 2007. This specimen is featured in the Mineralogical Record Magazine in the January/February issue 2010!

Medium purple fluorite xls, some with white rims, all with corner modifications, on matrix. Unilateral overgrowth of small, sparkly, yellow calcite xls. Note the red surface coating which is probably metastibnite! Under the calcite is a pocket of what is probably the rare antimony mineral coquandite with typical silky appearance. Quite colorful specimen at daylight as well as UV! Note the unusual greenish blue SW fluorescence of the fluorite! Found late 2008. Terminated, transparent selenite x, with soft edges that give it a "molten" appearance, growing on a bed of light purple, fully crystallized fluorite. Further contrast is added by pockets of yellow calcite. Difficult to photograph due to the transparency of the selenite and actually better in person! Found late 2008.
